Pew Cushion, Mocha
Invite some striking pattern, warmth and comfort into your home with my Pew cushion in Mocha, made using only the undyed yarns from my flock of native breed sheep, produced in a way that values natural systems and regenerates biodiversity.
The mocha comes from my Castlemilk Moorits and the Ecru is from my Portlands. The fleeces are processed at the Natural Company in Cornwall and left undyed for this product.
The cushion cover is handmade entirely by me in my studio at home in Gloucestershire. It is knitted in one long piece and then sewn together by hand with my yarn. I use a hand powered knitting machine - no electricity or machine power is involved.
The wooden tags sewn onto each piece to mark the unique Loopy Ewes provenance, are made for me in Devon on FSC certified wood. No solvents are used in their printing and I hand sew them onto each product using a small amount of GOTS organic cotton thread.
The entire cushion cover is 100% biodegradable and sold with a QR code that give the consumer full details of how the product is made as well as how to dispose of the cushion at the end of its life.
The cushion cover surrounds a cushion pad, handmade in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire by WoolSoft. WoolSoft guarantee all their products are filled with 100% British wool and the outer fabric of the cushion pad is made using WoolGuard fabric, the most sustainable option on the market approved to meet Fire Retardancy properties.
